MEET THE BOBSMITHS

" - This album , as a title indicates , is a musical invitation to " Meet The Bobsmiths " . The two members of this fast rising duo are , Bob DAVIES and Danny SMITH . Bob plays guitar and handles the vocal chores , while Danny plays drums .

Constantly in demand on the nightclub circuit , the boys are kept busy playing clubs all across Canada and the United States . They have also played in Mexico and Hawaïi ans in Australia with the Frank Sinatra Show ( Le Frank Sinatra Swow de février 1957  a été annulé à la denière minute par Frank Sinatra lui même ) Roger MIRON rédacteur de ce texte
n' en aurait pas été informé ?

Other stars , with whom the BOBSMITHS have appeared , include Mel TORME , Sarah VAUGHAN , THE DAVE CLARKE FIVE , Jerry And THE PACEMAKERS , Buck OWENS , Ferlin HUSKY and the FOUR PREPS .

In their nightclub act , besides their vocal and instrumental offerings which range from Western to Folk to ROCK AND ROLL , the BOBSMITHS also do some very fine comedy , impersonations and dancing .

If there is anything that BobDAVIES enjoys more than performing , it is composing songs ( he wrote eight out of ten songs heard on this album )  Although Danny SMITH has only collaborated with Bon and on one song . He also enjoys writing , but preferr comedy . Danny writes most of the comedy material for the act and does the choreography .

The BOBSMITHS were fortunate in obtaining the services of HUGH DIXON to play guitar on this album . Hugh is on,e of Canada's most talented guitarists , and his original ideas in sound certainly helped add great quality to the recordings . This is not the first time that the BOBSMITHS have recorded with Hugh .

A few years back , Bob , Danny and Hugh , along with norman "  Curly " ROBERTSON on bass , formed a group known as " BIG BOB AND THE DOLLARS "  and  recorded a song that rode high on the hit parade for a number of weeks . . . Gordie HOWE .

There is much more we could tell you about the BOBSMITHS , but we know you will derive more enjoyment , listening to their sounds , rather than reading about them .

We hope you will get a chance to see the BOBSMITHS when they appear in your locality - however if you are unable to , - use your imagination , . . . close your eyes . . . and as the master of ceremonies would say , " Sit back , relax , and . . . . . "
